Why sensitive customer data deserves a local-first approach

When records include conversations, engagements, and payments, data control cannot be a secondary setting.

Customer data is more than contact information

A tool that truly understands relationships may also hold conversation history, proposal terms, open commitments, and payment status. That context makes the work more useful—and makes privacy an architectural concern.

Local-first means the device remains the primary place where work happens and data lives. People should not have to hand every detail to a remote service before they receive basic value.

Control should be visible

Good privacy design is not only a policy. Where data lives, when it leaves the device, and how export or backup works should all be explained in language people can understand.

When a product handles long-term commercial relationships, trust is not one feature among many. It is the condition that allows every other feature to work.
